Optimism is a powerful force. While I’ve always made a conscious effort to stay positive in my own every day life, these past two weeks I have made an effort to spread that positivity with others and the community around me. About a month ago, I learned about Frost’s Opt For Optimism campaign and loved the fact that they were on a mission to spread the power of optimism. The 30-Day Optimism Challenge offers daily acts of optimism that are focused on one of three tactics for inspiring optimism: Fostering Generosity, Building Community, and Changing Perspectives. And while I’ve always known the benefits of having optimism in my personal life, what I’ve realized is that it’s an absolutely incredible force when shared with others!
Creating Connections
One of the goals of the Opt for Optimism challenge is to build community. Whether it’s leaving an uplifting note on a random car, introducing myself to a neighbor, or bringing treats to the local fire department, I loved that these acts were simple yet made such a huge difference in creating a sense of community with those around me. It did force me out of my comfort zone a bit, but I’ve been amazed at how such simple acts made such a big difference! I met people I would have never met before otherwise and it was an amazing feeling just spreading a random act of positivity with a new person!
Bring Positive Growth
There is such an energy from optimism. Participating in the daily optimism challenge for the past 2 weeks has actually helped me get past tough moments and times when I might have otherwise doubted myself. I’ve been amazed at how a more intentional optimistic mindset has helped me grow as a person and even make room for more opportunities.
It’s All About Attitude
Having the right mindset and outlook on the everyday can make such a huge difference. I’ve realized that your outlook on a given situation can be a self-fulfilling prophecy in many ways. It becomes doubly important to find the positive in every circumstance, be appreciative of what you have, and shift your mindset to focus on the good.
Taking an optimistic view is a choice. I make a conscious choice to look at the optimistic side. The Frost Opt For Optimism challenge has honestly been one of my favorites and it’s such a good reminder that every moment of every day is a new opportunity. It’s not too late to sign up and I’d love for you to join in the community to share optimism every day!
Sponsored by Frost Bank but all opinions are my own.

I couldn’t agree more that it’s all about attitude! I try and set my positive intentions for the day and end my day with a gratitude prayer! Even if it wasn’t the best day or I didn’t get everything done I needed to, it was still a blessing and there’s always a positive in each day!

I’m a first time visitor to this blog and it’s as if the Universe brought me here. I am coming out of long bout of depression and anxiety and through this illness I have begun to learn about the importance of gratitude . I’m now ready to try this optimism thing. I joke , but giving is important . I’m a rare mystical creature a man who writes a fashion blog for women. I’m always looking for blogger partnerships and friendships so reach if you up to it .
