After rotating through my collection of pencil skirt, I decided to switch it up today and wear this tulip skirt instead. I had put all of my non-pencil skirt on hiatus post-pregnancy, as I just felt like they made me look too “puffy”, if that makes sense. But now more than a year later and being close to my pre-pregnancy size, I’ve been gradually adding back my old items. And while my clothes don’t fit exactly the same as they did before, it’s been an interesting process of rediscovering what works for my body type.

For today, I went with an almost monochromatic look, pairing this navy skirt with a dark blue chambray. I left the pizzazz for the shoes and accessories. I love a good statement necklace and this new find from Jewelmint is stunningly beautiful. Although this necklace would be the perfect addition for a fancy event, I never need a reason to wear my fancy jewels on an everyday basis — for no reason other than I like shiny things. 🙂
Hope you’re having a great week!

Vastly charming style by you, Kileen. Nice skirt and charming handbag. The teal pumps are plenty stylish as well. Your necklace is beautiful. Also beautiful are your smile and your hairstyle. Fabulous style!

Beautiful outfit – the monochromatic palette really lets the detailing of the skirt and the necklace stand out.
I love this simple, chic look! Navy and chambray and so on trend and I love the gorgeous statement necklace too…

this is such a cute look! loving your jewelry in it!!!
Chambray & Navy are classics and transitions very well throughout the year, so nothing wrong with an almost monochromatic look! May I ask, how do you style your hair so nice and wavy?
Thank you, Christine! For my hair I've been using the Nume 32mm magic wand: http://www.numeproducts.com/shop/magic-wands-curling-wand
My hair is super hard to curl (curls usually fall out within 30 minutes) but these wands work great! When I bought mine I used code "sweethair2" for $120 off. 🙂
Let me know if you end up picking it up!
Aw the trials and tribulations of after baby body! You look amazing, though and I could never tell (without reading your blog) that you had a baby from your photos before to now! I love this navy and chambray combo. That skirt is fabulous!
I love that skirt!
In love with the shape of this skirt! I also like your chambray, which looks strong but still very light (if you know what I mean). I see a lot of chambray shirts that just look and feel so heavy– not really what I expect when I think of chambray!
