My outfit ended up getting progressively more casual throughout the day. I wanted to wear these sparkly shoes out for brunch {nothing says holiday better than sparkles, right?} but knew that they’d be impractical for my afternoon shopping. And so I packed my Bakers sandals as backup. I was also definitely going to need my big F21 “Alexa” bag that I could sling over my shoulder or throw across my body to leave my hands free to fight through sales racks. Not to mention the fact that I was going to need to stow a couple bottles of water to get me through the day too! Shopping, especially over the holidays, is one dangerous pasttime!
The first shopping spot was the outlet malls. I hadn’t been out there since Christmas! I had been lusting after the Ann Taylor crochet dress for a couple months now and wanted to try my luck at scoring one for myself. I seriously lucked out and was able to find not one, but two size 00P crochet dresses at my outlet store {congrats to Elaine for buying the extra one off me}! The dress is big in the waist and hips and so will have to wait for my tailor {aka mom} to come back from vacation in a few weeks to fix it up for me. I ended up opening an Ann Taylor account to get an extra 15% off and the dress ended up coming out to just over $90 with taxes. Not a bad deal for something that was originally $198! Oh, and I also bought my first pair of Ann Taylor Perfect Patent Pumps in grey for $38! Can you tell how excited I am? 🙂
By the end of my long shopping day, this is what my outfit ended up looking like… I got tired of taking on and off the lace top and so by the end of it all, I ended up just sporting a tank and shorts!
If any of you guys are hitting up the outlets for some shopping, here are some additional 15% off coupons for Gap Outlet and Banana Republic Factory. Happy 4th!

This is absolutely gorgeous Kileen…I'm in love every time you wear this top 🙂
Super-cute outfit! You look totally lovely here! Very easy on the eyes and plenty stylish with the lace top and the many touches of pink. And to prove the point that your beauty sparkles, your sparkly peep-toe pumps seal the deal. Lovely look, Kileen!

You're too cute 😉 love this outfit! And love how you progressively lost your clothes throughout the day. Haha 🙂 the best friend and I tried shopping yesterday. Total bust. The boyfriend and I went to the outlets too. Left empty handed. Clearly I need to go with you!

i have those earrings too <3 i super love what you did with your hair, pearls and purple rose!
I like both looks. You carried it from dressy to casual with ease.
wow, this is my favorite outfit pairing with that pretty lace shirt you have! for some reason I have such trouble wearing pink and purple colors without looking like a little kid, but you always look so sophisticated and pretty in those colors.
Totally feel you on outfits not making it all the way to the end of a shopping trip. I know my purse ends up full of accessories that were too difficult to take off and put back on in the dressing room!
What a gorgeous outfit and the close-up pic is amazing! You are so pretty Kileen!!!
so cute..i love the hair flower.

I've done the very same thing Kileen! Dressing for shopping can be tricky for me sometimes for sure!
oooh i loooove lace!!! it looks great over that tank. 🙂 and yeah to good outlet shopping – i had one last friday and did gooood!
well, it's money well saved! i basically went through my July budget in a
weekend. no more shopping for me for the rest of the month!
aww thanks. you're too sweet. 🙂
oh thank you! i love soft pastel colors. maybe the heels and grown-up
looking purse saved me from looking like i was 12. 🙂
yay, aren't these earrings awesome? i seriously wear them every single
day. 🙂
I love all the ways you've been remixng this lace top – it looks so great with the bright pink!
I did some damage myself this weekend! I can't wait to see you wear the things you got!
When I got my F21 Chantilly lace dress, I wish it was long enough on me that I can wear it as a dress like you do. But then I figured, what the heck, I can tuck it in and wear it as a top. But now… I wish it was short enough to leave untucked so I can copy this look! Ahh… Kileen, absolutely LOVE this top every time I see you wearing it!
Oh thank you! I bought this top just to get free shipping but ended up liking it so much that I ended up keeping it, lol. Hate it when that happens. 🙂
Kileen
I love everything about this outfit – the lace top, the shorts, and those fabulous pumps! You are really so confident to wear such tall heels out with shorts. I don't know if I'm just a bit more modest in my dress style, but I always feel like I'm exposing too much skin haha. I really wanted that crochet dress after I saw it on other petite bloggers as well. But I have a feeling it will be big on me as well 🙁
The F21 Chantilly lace dress would definitely need alterations if you didn't want to belt it. It was rather shapeless in me and I need several iterations of hemming. I know Urban Outfitters also has a really beautiful lace dress that might fit better off the rack that you can consider. 🙂
Kileen
You look incredibly beautiful! That lace top is strikingly lovely. I love how you mixed pink and purple without looking like a toddler. You still look very chic. I'm glad you had a good day of shopping!
