You guys, isn’t this dress just darling? I’ve been wearing all the pinks and reds this month and I’ve worn this dress to my Mei’s Hello Kitty birthday party, a friend’s baby shower, and even a girls’ night out (you need to go to Ida Claire if you live in Dallas — best drinks in town!). From the lace details to the pom pom hem, this frock is guaranteed to have you feeling like a princess. Even better, the shift style isn’t restricting and you can still breathe / eat without feeling self conscious. I’m wearing the XS here and I would even say that it runs a bit big (size down if you’re in between). The bell sleeves add just a touch of whimsy and a subtle boho vibe that I absolutely love! The dress is fully lined and hits a couple inches above the knee — perfect if you’re petite!
And yes, I’m that person that always ends up spending way more at Target than I plan, and this Dr. Seuss dress was just something I couldn’t pass up! Both Dylan and Mei are big fans of the Oh The Places You’ll Go book and so we were all pretty excited when we saw Target’s latest Dr. Seuss line — Dylan even asked if he could get the dress in his size! Mei is in-between sizes so I decided to err on the larger size and just tie a ribbon around her waist. Love that my petite-girl tricks are getting put to good use on her too!

5 FAVORITE VALENTINE’S DAY ACTIVITIES FOR KIDS:
We started our Valentine’s Day celebration early this year (I couldn’t help but dig into some chocolate last weekend!), and while it’s never been a big holiday for me, this year I wanted to take advantage of the occasion and do something special with the kids! It’ll be a week long of Valentines Day activities in our house so I’m sharing a few ideas of what we have planned if you’d like to enjoy with your little ones too!
- Make Valentine’s Day cards. We started on our cards last weekend and Dylan has been so excited to be able to make something for each of his friends. This year though, I’m making my own Valentine’s Day cards for my kids too to show how much they mean to me — it seems so obvious but I don’t know why I didn’t do this in years past.
- Movie night. My kids are finally at the age where they can sit through a longish movie and I’m thinking Lady and the Tramp would be perfect for the occasion!
- Valentine’s Day books. My kids look forward to bedtime stories every day so I picked up a couple Valentine’s Day themed stories a few weeks ago. Pete the Cat, Valentine’s Day Is Cool has been a new favorite along with Shiny Shapes: Love You Always. Can you tell my kiddos love cute animals? : )
- Put it in food. I make these easy 3-ingredient pancakes for my kids at least 5 days out of the week so this week I’m using this heart mold to make a Valentine’s Day themed breakfast. Heart-shaped cookies would also be a fun idea as would just a strawberry smoothie!
- Dance party! This is our favorite way to “get the wiggles out” before bedtime and just about any song works! I usually let the kids have a prop or two (Mei loves twirling a string while Dylan will go for a flashlight). It’s a great time for everyone!
(pin for later!)

Such a gorgeous dress!
Hi!
I’m in the process of developing my blog, I am also very petite so I’ve loved following your blog and getting inspired. Although mine isn’t purely fashion, it is definitely part of my blog as well! My favorite place to shop right now is Banana Republic. Thanks for featuring dresses, it’s definitely hard to find ones that fit right!
The pom pom fringe really puts this dress over the top! I hope you have fun celebrating valentines with your little ones!
