Hi everyone! I hope you had a great weekend! Ours was very low key and mostly spent running errands and cleaning up around the house. Dylan is at a point now where he’s transitioning from 2 to 1 naps during the day, so we’re laying low and keeping things easy so we can stay on top of Dylan’s cues in case he gets too tired or cranky. While dropping a nap will mean more up-time for me and Adrian, I’m actually looking forward to having longer hours during the day to go do things with Dylan. Play dates, going to the museum, story time at the library — it’ll all be so much nicer now that we’re not rushing home for naps all the time.
And now for some exciting news! I’m teaming up with Vera Bradley and InStyle magazine to host a Fall Fashion preview on Saturday, October 19 from 2-4 pm at Stonebriar Mall in Frisco, TX. I went up to the store this Saturday and styled 3 head-to-toe looks that will be shown their mannequins. I’ll admit that I wasn’t very familiar with Vera Bradley before this weekend, but the brand is known for their beautiful prints. Figuring out how to mix and match all the different patterns to create a look was definitely something that was right up my alley! I can’t wait to share my looks with you. There will be light catering, a DJ, and of course giveaways for everyone so please save the date!

Meanwhile, remember when I was being facetious about wearing my puffer vest earlier this week? Well, the cold front came in Saturday morning and it actually turned out to be ideal weather for a puffer vest! I couldn’t believe how cold and windy it suddenly became as it dropped 30 degrees from our previous day of 90+ degrees. Admittedly, I bought this vest in August when it was triple digit heat so this weekend’s sudden drop in temps was much anticipated!
If you’re looking for a white puffer vest as well, here are a few picks:
