J Crew Midi Dress:
I’ve been on island time the past few days and immersed in all things Hawaii. This is my third time back to the islands yet it’s been the most unique out of all my experiences. While I won’t dive into the details of the trip just yet (coming soon!), I wanted to first share a cute outfit from my first night out on the island of Molokai. I fell in love with this J.Crew midi dress when I first spotted it as I love the colorful ikat print, and the combination of pom poms, mini tiered layers, and flutter sleeves make it such a beautiful, feminine, and flirty piece to wear (plus it’s on sale 30% off right now!). There is a drawstring waist with tassel ties for a fit-and-flare drape and it definitely has that Mediterranean boho vibe. The J Crew midi dress is fully lined, lightweight, and just perfect for those days you want something easy when it comes to getting dressed.
While I didn’t see petite sizing options for this dress, the size regular sizing is still a great fit for me (I’m 5′ tall, typically a 00 petite and am wearing a 00 regular here). The length is more of a maxi length rather than midi length, but I personally didn’t find any of the other proportions to be off or ill-fitting. I paired the J Crew midi dress with simple gold heart hoop earrings and a pair of sandals for my first sunset jaunt out on the beach of Kamiloloa behind Hotel Molokai where we were staying.

We’ve lucked out with perfect weather while here in Hawaii (fingers crossed I don’t jinx it!), but since I know that Dallas has been hit with the April showers and J.Crew happens to be having a 30% off sale on rainy day styles (code APRILSHOWERS), I’m rounding up my favorite picks below! Breathtaking views! That dress is very lovely: I think the midi length is perfect as it is short enough not to step on it: I tend to do that with my maxi dress so midi length would solve that problem.
