Just a few more days to enter my Urban Decay makeup giveaway!
I have the Timehop app on my phone and part of me loves going through the old throw-back photos. Pictures from when was young and unmarried as I first started this blog over 8 years ago to now that I’m in my upper 30s with 2 kids, the youngest of whom is already in preschool! While there’s so much nostalgia when I see those pictures, I also can’t help but also notice differences in how I look. My skin definitely has lost some of its elasticity and I notice it especially with my less-defined jawline.
I stepped into New Leaf Cosmetic Centers a couple days ago and walked out having experienced the most amazing non-invasive facelift treatment with their Thermalift procedure. I met with their leading technician, Danielle, and she discussed with me about all the non-surgical options that are available today to contour the body. While many of us may have heard of CoolSculpting, there are so many other very similar options that produce similar results without some of the downsides — they just don’t have the marketing budget like CoolSculpting does so they don’t get as much publicity!
One of the most popular treatments is ThermaLift, an FDA-approved procedure that relies on mild heat and radiofrequency to gently tighten and improve the skin without any damage. The secret is the way collagen responds to the radio frequency energy as it will actually contract and tighten, giving that non-surgical “facelift” result!
The ThermaLift Skin-Tightening Treatment
I learned a bunch of the technical details thanks to lots of explaining from Danielle, the lead technician at New Leaf Cosmetic Centers. The ThermaLift procedure uses a radiofrequency device to stimulate and tighten the collagen and elastin by delivering heat to the cells. It actually can target the lower layers of the skin (dermis) without harming the upper layers (epidermis). The heat causes the collagen to contract and tighten the skin structure right away so results are instant. As well, over time the growth of new collagen and elastin continues to diminish wrinkles and reverse the signs of aging.
Treatment starts with a conductive gel that is applied to the skin. If you’ve ever had an ultrasound before, it’s very similar to that gel that is applied — a little cold but really no big deal. Then, the device is run over the skin in the target areas and you feel a mild heat. There are different heat settings (levels 1 – 3), and I was able to sustain the level 2 for about a minute before it started getting uncomfortable. The higher the heat setting you’re able to tolerate, the better the results! The treatment didn’t hurt at all, just some discomfort with the heat but it’s definitely good to know that you can have them adjust the setting to meet your tolerance.
I saved my Instagram story clips and wanted to share the video clips here to help give you a better idea of the full procedure.
Results are Instant!
A single treatment is enough to deliver visible results but the more treatments you get, the longer and better the results will be. Results do last up to a year but Danielle did recommend coming in more regularly to really see some more dramatic results! I’m already thinking this needs to be part of a quarterly maintenance plan that I set up for my skin!
Benefits of ThermaLift
The best part is that ThermaLift is safe for all skin types and treats a number of conditions. I was surprised at just how many difference ways ThermaLift can be used (and not just for the face either — you can use it to tighten skin anywhere that may have just lost some elasticity and is showing signs of aging!)
- lifting the jawline
- smoothing out fine lines
- reducing light scarring (I had her zap a zit I had on my chin!)
- reducing stretch marks
- lifting cheeks
- lifting brows
My skin was glowing after even just the 15-minute session! I didn’t have any makeup on in the picture below (you can see some slight ezcema on the corner of my left eye and the pimple on my chin 🙈) but am wearing lashes. It was so impressed with how my skin was looking post-treatment!
For all my Dallas friends, New Leaf Lipo is actually having a “Girl’s Night Out” event next Thursday, November 8 at 6:30 pm. There will be demos showcasing this their different procedures (including the ThermaLift) and you can see for yourself the immediate results that they deliver. ALL ATTENDEES WILL GET A $250 GIFT CARD!! Honestly, that’s reason enough to come on its own, but there will also be a raffle for $2000 worth of sessions as well as discounts on other packages for all attendees. Hors-d’oeuvres and wine will be served and you can bet I’ll be there too — I’d love to meet you!

I received a complimentary ThermaLift mini facelift in return for this review. All opinions are honest and my own.
