The gusty morning wind seriously did a number on my hair {can we see windblown?!} but I’m loving the cooler weather now! Still, even now that it finally feels more like Fall, I love the appeal of wearing lots of white. I broke all post-Labor day rules and paired a white top with a white skirt. Since the white colors weren’t exactly the same though, I needed something to help transition between the two: scarf belt to the rescue!
I almost went obi style with my scarf belt like last week but all the bulk in the front wasn’t really doing me any favors. And so I just doubled up the scarf on itself and tied it in the back with a simple knot. Gotta love simplicity when it works in my favor!

And thank you so much for the well-wishes from yesterday. A day of rest was just what I needed and I’m ready to take on another weekend of wedding festivities {wedding #6 for the year, if you’re keeping track!}.

You pull off that gorgeous orange color so well!! I have a really pretty scarf from Talbot's that I kept meaning to wear as a belt, but it ended up on my favorite handbag, and I think it's staying there. And your scarf couldn't be more fall-perfect.
I think that 'not-wearing-white' rule is really dumb because your outfit totally trumps that idea. I love the scarf belt. And the orange jacket is the perfect topper to such a chic outfit. The details on the top is so pretty too!

You have so many great outfits, but I think this is my favorite one yet. The white lets the scarf shine … it's graphic and bold yet simple at the same time.

i dont understand the whole not wearing white thing. or why its only ok to wear white on top. i cant believe you have so many weddings! i had to stand up in one and im about done with them this year. its so much work, time and money!!

I was looking into buying the ring you have on. So pretty! Do they have sizes? I couldn't seem to find anything on the site.
This has to be my fav outfit of yours!! Your hair and make up are stunning! And the outfit is so elegant too. The scarf matches the swing jacket just perfect and the BR top is so pretty I actually thought it was a dress. I love short-sleeved feminine tops bec they're different from the typical sleeveless ones. If I hadn't already started budgeting for Xmas presents I'd totally track down that top 🙂
