Big-Kid Dreams

If you’ve ever been sleep-deprived, whether it’s a result of late-night studying or because you have a baby who still doesn’t sleep through the night, you know how important good quality sleep is in order to be happy, healthy. and at your best.  Better sleep. Better world.  I view mattresses as an investment, and so in my research of different ones out there, I was impressed when I stumbled across The Dream Bed by Mattress Firm.

The Dream Bed is really changing it up in two big ways. For starters, it’s a bed in a box! Part if the hassle of buying a new bed is just getting it delivered and installed. In just two short days after ordering it online, The Dream Bed was delivered to our door in a small box and we were surprised to find that it was even light enough for Adrian to singlehandedly move it up the stairs without any problems!

Second (and most importantly!), The Dream Bed is all about giving back!  For every mattress that is sold, another mattress is given to a child or family in need.  It’s a one-for-one model that gives back with every purchase made.  How amazing is it that you can support an incredible cause just by buying a mattress?  I’m always trying to find opportunities to teach Dylan generosity and compassion, so supporting a company that is providing a good night’s sleep to someone in need couldn’t have made it easier!

Beyond the social impact that The Dream Bed is making, this mattress is just seriously amazing on its own.  The mattress is made of memory foam and even has a model with an optional gel layer top.  Given that Dylan will oftentimes wake up in a puddle of sweat no matter how lightweight his pajamas are, I opted for the Cool Dream Bed.  He’s been sleeping so much more soundly now and it makes me feel happier as a mama knowing that he’s getting the rest that he needs for all his crazy adventures!

Can you tell this kid is excited for his big kid bed?  We just have it set on the floor right now (The Dream Bed mattress doesn’t require a frame, box spring, or headboard) and he’s been sleeping in it all on his own for 3 days now!
