Amazon Fire TV Recast:
Hello and happy holidays! We took a little road trip yesterday to visit Carlsbad Caverns, NM and are in El Paso, TX now visiting some family for the next few days. We have a new baby nephew that we met for the first time, and it’s been such a fun time having a little one to fuss over again! With three generations and eight people in the house for the next six days, it can be a bit of a challenge to keep everyone entertained so I’m sharing a new setup we just installed that’s perfect if you have people coming over (or just a big family!).
Amazon recently launched the Fire TV Recast and Fire TV Stick 4K — the perfect combination of devices to make sure everyone’s favorite shows are never missed!
The Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K is the most powerful 4K streaming media stick and it’s an Amazon bestseller for good reason. This tiny but powerful device gives you access to shows and movies on Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, HBO, ESPN, NBC, and more — it even has the 1st Gen Alexa Voice Remove built in so you can just say commands like “Alexa, Play Friends” to bring up Netflix and play the most recent episode! For me, I love getting my YouTube fix in whenever I’m working at night and love that the Fire TV Stick actually allows me to access websites thanks to the browsers like Silk and Firefox which come installed. The 4K option provides incredibly brilliant images too as well as immersive sound with access to technology such as 4K Ultra HD, Dolby Vision, HDR, and more!
The Amazon Fire TV Recast let you watch, record, and replay your favorite over-the-air programming to watch later, with no monthly fees. You can’t beat the flexibility and convenience of being able to record your favorite shows to watch later. Just plug in a separate HD antenna and access your broadcast network shows like live sports and late night talk shows on your own schedule thanks to the Fire TV Recast. There are even two tuners built in so record up to two shows at once and store up to 75 hours of HD programming! The Amazon Fire TV Recast also allows you to enjoy your recorded shows even when you’re out and on-the-go thanks to the mobile Fire TV app that you can use anywhere/anytime!
Easy Setup
The devices look sleek and simplistic and thankfully were also fairly straightforward to set up (that’s why I love you, Amazon!). The back of the Fire TV Recast box only has two ports which are needed for setup — one for power and the other for the antenna (a third ethernet port is available if you don’t want to depend on WiFi). Setup is as easy as walking through the steps in the Fire TV app!
With the Fire TV Stick, it’s as easy as plugging it into the wall for power and connecting it to an HDTV. It’s crazy easy and I loved that I was able to get set up and going within minutes!
A big selling point for me was also being able to control it with Alexa. I’ve owned an Amazon Dot for almost 3 years now and especially with kids, it’s just so easy to use voice commands whenever my hands are full. The Voice Remote included with the Fire TV Stick lets me even launch, record, and display everything I want on the tv now and it’s so nice not to have to navigate through multiple menus trying to find something!
For The Kids
I’ve actually been really impressed with the content tailored for kids via the Amazon Fire TV Stick. We watched All I Want For Christmas Is You, an Amazon Prime Movie, with the kids the other day and it was such the perfect feel-good show with a positive message at the end. And while we haven’t explored any of the apps yet, I love that there are hundreds of options including educational ones in case we do need to keep the kids occupied for a bit while we’re busy.
For The Sports Lover
If you have someone who doesn’t want want to miss the game, you need the Amazon Fire TV Recast to record all the live action. The Fire TV Recast delivers the most reliable video streams over WiFi of any over-the-air DVR and they’ll even be able to stream it on their mobile device when they’re not at home!
For The Cord Cutter
And finally, if you’re just wanting to streamline your media setup, the Amazon Fire TV Recast and Fire TV Stick are definitely for you. Don’t pay for cable and DVR anymore thanks to the Amazon Fire TV Recast and get all your favorite shows with the Fire TV Stick! There’s no need for satellite or cable anymore as you can get all your favorite shows thanks to Hulu, PlayStation Vue, and Netflix — plus enjoy some new programs if you have an Amazon Prime membership!
The kids and I have been LOVING our new Amazon Fire TV Recast and Fire TV Stick, and it’s definitely taken some of the stress out of those big social gatherings this time of year. Be sure to check it out and see how it can make your life easier!
