Sunglasses: XRay XR1300 – c/o GlassesUSA.com {review coming next!} (buy)
A few of you guys mentioned in my July budget recap post that your favorite item was the Delia’s Hi/Lo sheer top. Since it was so popular, I decided to remix it into another outfit! After all, an item is only a “good buy” if I can get at least 3 different outfit combinations out of it, right? So here goes numero dos.
The first time around, I went for a casual look. This time, I wanted something a little more profresh. I decided to go with a pink pencil skirt and loosely tucked in the top. I really like how the wide stripes give an all-American rugby feel while the slim pencil skirt keeps it all prim and proper. And…you’ll notice I went beltless for the first time in forever. Not only did I feel like it would conflict with the trapeze drape of the top, but it was also Mexican food day at work. And those chicken fajitas weren’t gonna be restricted by no stinkin’ belt!

My Spanish skills failed a long time ago… but ¡muy bonita, Kileen! 🙂 I mostly prefer chicken quesadillas or chicken flautas myself. Anyhow, you're looking great here with the heels and the skirt. The top is lovely too. And as always, nothing brings out Kileen cuteness like your lovely hair, face, and smile. Awesome post!

thank you so much, John! as always, your comments are the sweetest! 🙂
Oh! No belt AND no necklace! Yet it still looks like a completed look! The bracelet and top are so bold, that is all you need! And I am in love with your skirt!!
You're totally right! I had a necklace planned out but totally missed it this morning. But I think it worked too! 🙂

That top is so worth wearing a lot, think I might have to look for one, it's so versatile! Great beat off for the Rag & bone one!

This outfit looks great on you. I like the simplicity to this outfit too, even without the belted waist and the accessories, it brings out the best quality in this whole outfit, your smile! – Mar

This is an awesome style remix. I love the skirt you chose to pair this top with. I'm very much in love with it. The colors all mesh so nicely. I will be looking into getting a top like this soon 🙂

Love the shoes!
omg i love love love the stripes!!!
LOL about the Mexican food 🙂 It's 6:50 in the morning, and now I want some enchiladas hehe This looks great, love how you made a casual top totally work appropriate….I just bought a striped top with wider stripes from LOFT, so thanks for the inspiration on how to wear it 🙂
You know I love stripes, girl! I like how you paired the navy/white with the muted color of the pencil skirt. Every time I see stripes, I expect to see bright red. Your combination is pretty and refreshing. Hope you and Adrian have a great weekend!
I LOVE this top! I have a similar one from H&M but it's pink and orange and I've been wanting to pair it with a skirt for work. J's Everyday Fashion did a similar look yesterday too. You both have helped confirm that I definitely need to try my top with a pencil skirt! I better do it soon before summer's over!
Yes, definitely try with a pencil skirt!! It would look lovely on you! 🙂
I like the loosely tucked look a lot, Kileen! I agree with you on no belt for this outfit. Sometimes I feel that I don't have to add a belt just to add a belt. And lol on the Mexican food day. 😉 Did you pig out?
just 2 chicken fajita tacos for me and a little side salad. it was a lot for me for lunch for i didn't totally pig out…
cute top…i love how you tucked it in for a "Crop top" effect…i'm gonna have to try that 🙂
cute top! i love how you tucked it in to give it a "crop top" effect…i'm going to have to try that 🙂
Love the palette of the clutch/skirt/top and the minimalist pops of white from the shoes/bracelet–not too bare, but really streamlined and ladylike-sporty! This look is definitely going to influence what I wear to work this week!
yay!! i'm glad to inspire. 🙂
you always look so put together and beautiful! This outfit is no exception. I love the color of that skirt.
That top is AWESOME! And I love the shoes too.
