I’ve had to retire several of my winter coats this year as they were hitting the 10-12 year mark and were really starting to show signs of wear and/or just weren’t my style anymore. I’ve been on the lookout for a new longer wool coat in a classic silhouette and while I was originally considering a Lady Day, my size ended up selling out before I knew it! Then I happened to see this dusty pink one on a Forever 21 promo and absolutely fell in love with it. From the sleek minimal design to the soft fuzzy texture, it’s the perfect piece that I even wouldn’t mind wearing all day long if necessary. While I did need to tuck the sleeves under one cuff’s length (about 1″ — you can see it in the last picture), I didn’t feel like any other alterations were necessary. I paired the coat with neutral pastel colors but can’t wait to remix it with darker colors and fabrics like some leather pants!

This coat is super cute but I would highly recommend the Lady Day Coat as an investment piece for winter. Although maybe Texas winters don't get cold enough to need a Lady Day Coat too much? Even I struggle to truly need it very often in California but I love it and wear it whenever I can.
