I’m all about wearing simple easy dresses in the spring and absolutely love this cheerful yellow shift dress. While I have trouble with shift dresses typically making me look too square without enough of a taper in the waist to create any shape, this one surprisingly worked out beautifully for me without any alterations! I also like the fact that it wasn’t too short on me as I’ve become a bit more modest in my wardrobe since having kiddos (I’m only 5′ tall though so the dress may come up shorter if you’re taller). I love the fun floral print and the parrots add such a fun and unexpected addition!
I did find that the dress had a tendency to wrinkle easily (I had worn this dress for about 3 hours with lots of sitting before taking these pics). But, given the unique print and the affordable price point (it’s even on further sale right now!), it’s something I’m willing to accept. I love Choies for pretty skirts and dresses so here are a few more dress options from Choies that caught my eye!

It was florals on florals as I paired these floral pumps with the floral dress. I love the dainty look of strappy sandals and while I was a bit on the fence about keeping this pair initially (it’s just a little too tall for comfortable walking), in the end I decided to keep them for those special occasions or date nights when I won’t be on my feet all the time. we set up a place where our kids could use kitchen gadgets and bang them – they appreciated the bang and I appreciated them not in the kitchen! they grew out of it of course and I got back my damaged stuff.
I use my iPhone and a myriad of apps to juggle my busy, daily schedule.
I love doing all my tasks during the day so my husband and I can spend the evening with the kids!
Potty training is simple. I just sent my son to my parents for a week and he returned completely potty trained.
When my girls were little, (they are now 21 and 27 so this was late 80s and 90s), we taught them how to use the Laser Disc player, CD Player, tape players, computer, microwave and VCR. We started out with them pushing the buttons and they caught on quickly how to use them correctly. No peanut butter sandwiches in the VCR or smeared on discs and out in machines. They are now both very technically inclined. Nowadays, technology is a given and rather than say no, just teach them the right way to use it.
Reminding myself to make the most out of every day. Every interaction I have with my kiddos is an opportunity for me to invest in their lives. Sometimes I am completely worn out and exhausted but I remember that this time will pass and I will miss them being this young.

I fit more into my day by requiring everyone to do thier fair share around the house and I dont have to do it all and everyone need to clean up after thierselves.
This dress is gorgeous as are the floral sandals – I need a pair like those. I just recently bought a white jacquard sheath with gold+yellow tulips.
I strive to start each day organized; it really makes me more productive and motivated to have a to do list ready to be tackled!
Would love to win! My laptop is old, slow and crashes. a new one would help me be more productive and keep me better organized. The YOGA 3 Pro looks like a great choice!

I fit more into my day by keeping a priority list and doing those things first.
I found that when potty training it helped putting her on the potty in the morning and at night to make it part of her routine
I have a toddler and I'm the best mom when I take a break from mom duties and have at least an hour of "me time" cleaning doesn't count, ha!
The best piece of advice I ever received was to take a photo every single day of their first year of life. You won't remember just how much they have changed once they are older and you will definitely forget the little looks they gave. 😀
im a mom of 2boys 6yo and 5mo and for me the best tip i can give is to enjoy every moment of motherhood/parenthood be it good or bad coz you cannot recreate it. your kids will grow up so fast and you dont want to miss the chance to be there for them whenever they need you. I know sometimes it feels like everything seems to be out of control but at the end of the day you have a beautiful kids/family that you call your own and who calls you MOM 🙂

I have. 9 year old and a 2 year old (turns 2 in May!!) both girls. I was having trouble with the 9 year old feeling left out (after it was just me and her most of her life). My 'partner' does not help out much with his child….so me amd me my first daughter were having a very hard time spending quality time alone doing something. He's been a little better, not much, about watching the 'baby' so me and my oldest can go for a walk to the park or do something, anything, together. When he wasn't helping at all, I would try to play barbies with my oldest when the baby slept, but with me working and taking care of both kids, I always needed a nap too! So the best time for me and my oldest was after I put the 'baby' to bed around 8-830pm. So that gave us about 2 hours to play barbies or play a video game, I made it her choice,,,,
It's so hard balancing them, and then when I have a free minute I would love to nap or jump on my iPad and do a contest like this lol….I'm sad im just seeing this now because I get your emails! I just happened to see it at the top of today's email!
