After my blindingly bright outfit yesterday, I had to go in the opposite direction today and sport some muted neutral colors. But, in order to make the outfit not completely boring, I added a little colorful scarf. My inspiration was all the recent necktie blouses that I’ve seen some of my fave bloggers wearing recently (e.g. Kelly, Elle, and Annie). I’m honestly a bit on the fence with the whole look, but at least I get some points for trying something new right? 🙂
In non-fashion related news, we’re getting a photobooth at my wedding so that people can take home little picture strips of themselves as their party favors. Thanks to my awesome Chinese negotiating skills (haggle like you got nothing to lose!) I was able to get an awesome deal on one. I can’t wait for some awesome wedding craziness!

CUTE!! love the bowtie!! oxo J
Outfit looks so cute and love the bow
I think the neck tie is cute….Ive done that with lots of ties from vest etc. The photobooth idea is great..Ive been to weddings with them and they are a real hit:)
it's a great idea…the scarf bowtie. i love those pussybow blouses, but they are hard to find here. this would be a great alternative.

I think the bow tie is fun. The braided edges of your cardigan are pretty. I really like photo booths at weddings. It's something memorable, and in Ohio you don't see them at every single wedding.

and i think the tie/scarf thing is way cute on you 🙂
First of all, such a cute outfit. Secondly, we're getting a photobooth too! I think they are so fun and I can't wait to have the vintage photo strips as memories 🙂
oh yay!! that's so awesome. photobooths are all the rage now. 🙂
Very cute idea with the scarf! I also loved the way you cinched the waist of the sweater with that skinny belt. I love how polished your looks are. Btw, thank you for leaving me such a nice comment today…it made my day 🙂
cute!! i love the bowtie on you!!
Such a creative idea with the necktie bow! And I LOVE that you're getting a photo booth! I think those are always such a great feature for parties b/c they create great lasting memories.

A photobooth is something that I've always thought would be fun to have at a wedding. I'm not sure of how it would work in a wedding setting (technical). I hope you share this! 🙂
cute! neutral colors.. 🙂
Love the cardigan! And the scarf looks more admirable than an usual necklace!
i really like your shoes here! and the necktie is so creative~

You know how much I also love bows so that's how much I adore your outfit. I love the print on the scarf you used to tie the bow, so interesting!
I rarely see that LV purse! It's very cute and it goes well with your outfit 🙂 Heck, LV goes well with anything hehe
I really enjoy your blog's content, going to follow!
yay!! can you also leave your blog url so i can check out your blog? 🙂
I think you did a great job Kileen!
Cool idea with the photobooth! We did something similar, we had photographers take pictures of people as their favors and at the end of the night they could take home their framed pics! It seemed like a hit since everytime we go to someone's house it's displayed since it's a picture of them and not us 😉
yes, i think pictures as party favors are much more memorable. otherwise i
have so many wedding favors that just end up piling up and eventually stored
away in a box (unless the bf throws it away!).
love love love how you tied your scarf sweetie!!
I love what you did with the scarf! I think it is a great look. I did something similar here: http://fashnlvr.blogspot.com/2011/02/balance-30×30-day-5-6-with-tie-bowed.html
I really like your black pumps and your long sweater vest/cardigan. Great look!
I like the 'boring' outfit, but the scarf does look nice! That vest is amazing! I like to tie the bow a little lower, just so it doesn't chop up the neckline– I used to do ballet and length (long necks, long arms, long legs) are a huge obsession.
oh great tip!! i'll keep that in mind for next time! 🙂
Love the look the scarf is really neat and I like how ots twosted gives the look some texture.
What I love most about this outfit is that it is all neutral colors but is still fun and interesting! I also adore the necktie scarf. It looks adorable!

Loving the print on that scarf!!…..and your LV is so perfect with this outfit 😉
This outfit is definitley the complete opposite of yesterday's lol! It looks great though…and the scarf was a nice touch! The photobooth idea sounds so fun, I totally wish I had thought of that!
having a photo booth at your wedding reception sounds like the funnest idea ever – I completely love it!
I rarely see that LV purse! It's very cute and it goes well with your outfit 🙂 Heck, LV goes well with anything hehe

That's such a cute idea! I have tons of scarves and never thought to style them this way. I'm also recently obsessed with vintage bowtie blouses (I just thrifted a bunch of them) so it's a great idea to create a similar look with more items in your wardrobe. Love it.
Thanks! I like how it turned out too. 🙂
