I love the look of pearls but have always been afraid that it would look too matronly on me. It was only after seeing this one on Jean after so many outfits that I finally decided to give it a try myself. I think multi-layered strands combined with the mixed metal beads give it a more modern look and, surprisingly enough, absolutely love it! I went with a classic all-white outfit today with my pearls and paired a white crochet lace blouse with a white pencil skirt. To avoid looking too bridal, I added this long boyfriend cardigan and love how it made the outfit a bit more casual and wearable!
This lace top, pearl necklace, and nude tote were actually bought during Ann Taylor’s last 50% off sale and they’re running the promotion yet again (code PRETTY50)! Here are a few of my picks in case you’re looking:

Yes I love the look. The cardigan definitely made it less bridal-y or matronly 🙂

That is a beautiful neutral outfit! I like the combination of the lace and pearls together 🙂

So chic! Neutral looks are fabulous and I love how you paired everything with a nice belt. The sunnies are my favorites – want to get me a pair of KW sunnies soon.

Ann taylors sale will drive me crazy!! But that is secondary, hello you!!! You look like you walked out of a vintage era derby match magazine. lovely in lace and pearls!!
I adore this look, Kileen! So beautiful, elegant and feminine. The soft colours are amazing with your dark hair.
I wish we had Ann Taylor here in Europe. They do ship internationally but of course besides postage there are import taxes to be paid…
