Funny little back story behind this look…  I told Dylan last weekend that Mei and I were going to get dressed up.  Dylan’s eyes lit up and he exclaimed “me too!”  He ran off to his room and as I was getting changed into these dresses with Mei, Dylan came back with his Olaf costume from Halloween of last year in hand!  Little guy thought we were getting dressed up in costume!  I didn’t want to be a party pooper so I let him get changed into Olaf, lol!  By the time we drove out to take a few pictures though, Dylan fell asleep in the car and slept straight through our little photo session.  While Dylan’s Olaf shenanigans didn’t get caught on camera, it’s moments like these that make it so fun to be a mom!

Meanwhile I’m absolutely in love with these matching mommy + me dresses from Pineapple Clothing!  I actually still remember the time when I had a matching outfit with my mom and it was one that she actually sewed herself.  While I’m not nearly as domestic as my mom, thankfully shops like Pineapple Clothing have an amazing selection of matching mommy + me outfits for my little Mei and I to dress up in!  I love the combination of stripes and floral print of this dress and the one-shoulder style makes it really unique and beautiful dress all on its own.  I was a bit wary of the bodycon style but found that it was actually quite forgiving if I allowed a bit of ruching in the midsection area (and thank goodness for some good shapewear too!).  A few other twinning styles from Pineapple Clothing that I love include this tulip print top as well as this polka-dot flower print top.   I styled this dress in a glam dressed up look with a pair of rose gold heels, but this dress would look great styled casually with some matching sneakers too (girls’ option)!
